Jim Evitt, Sr., a proprietor of the local drug store and the only pharmacist in Catoosa County, embarked on a venture to set up a telephone system. With only eight telephones, Ringgold Telephone Company was established in 1912

Today, 100 years later, Ringgold Telephone Company is proud to celebrate its outstanding history. Just as the Evitt family was an advocate for community service and involvement in 1912, Ringgold Telephone Company is also a strong believer in supporting the community.

As part of Ringgold Telephone Company’s 100th anniversary, we are offering a $5,000 student scholarship to one graduating Senior that is a customer of RTC.
